How the newsroom operates
At The Charger uses an automated research and production process to discover developments, examine source material, organize evidence, draft coverage, and check citations. Automation helps the newsroom work broadly and consistently, but it does not decide on its own what reaches readers.
Human insight and oversight
A human editor reviews every article before publication, applying judgment to its relevance, evidence, framing, context, and usefulness. The editor can require changes, hold a story for more reporting, or reject it. Final editorial responsibility remains human.
Editorial personas
Opinion and analysis may use disclosed AI editorial personas. They are not human biographies and do not claim real-world credentials, interviews, test drives, or firsthand experience.
Evidence still governs
Automation does not substitute for source-backed reporting. Published work must preserve attribution, citation context, uncertainty, and the distinction between reported facts and analysis. Human review is the final publication gate, not a replacement for those standards.
