2027 VinFast VF 8 Starts $500–$700 Above Prior Pricing as Dealer Stock Appears

VinFast's 2027 VF 8 starts at $40,400 for the Eco and $45,600 for the Plus, up $500 and $700 from the company's prior published U.S. VF 8 starting prices of $39,900 and $44,900.¹² On a starting-MSRP-to-starting-MSRP basis, those changes work out to about 1.3% for Eco and 1.6% for Plus.

The launch is already visible beyond VinFast's announcement. Current authorized-dealer inventory pages in San Diego and Orlando list new 2027 VF 8 Eco vehicles by VIN.³⁴ But VinFast's main U.S. VF 8 product page and public configurator were still showing the older $39,900/$44,900 pricing when checked Sept. 21, along with other legacy product-state information.⁵⁶

The 2027 price move is modest, but directly measurable

VinFast's Sept. 21 launch release says the MY27 VF 8 will be offered in Eco and Plus trims at $40,400 and $45,600, respectively, with U.S. sales beginning in September.¹ The useful comparison is not a dealer sticker or a guessed prior-model-year MSRP; it is VinFast's own previously published U.S. VF 8 starting-price baseline.

VinFast also says it will continue incentives for U.S. MY27 buyers including 0% APR financing for up to 84 months, alongside leasing options.¹ That is a MY27 launch claim from VinFast itself. It is separate from the $4,100 Retail Bonus Cash currently advertised on VinFast's main VF 8 page, which that page explicitly ties to 2025 VF 8 Eco and Plus vehicles.⁵

Dealer inventory is ahead of VinFast's main consumer pages

VinFast said the 2027 VF 8 would be available through authorized dealerships in key markets including Chicago, Orlando and San Diego.¹ Current inventory provides direct evidence for two of those markets: VinFast San Diego lists multiple new 2027 VF 8 Eco units by VIN, and VinFast Orlando's current new-vehicle inventory also lists 2027 Eco units.³⁴

That does not establish nationwide inventory, nor does it establish current 2027 Plus stock everywhere. It does show that the launch is not only a future availability statement in a press release.

At the same time, VinFast's main U.S. VF 8 product page still displays $39,900 for Eco and $44,900 for Plus, while the public configurator also remains on the older pricing/product state.⁵⁶ That mismatch matters because those pages contain other specifications and offers that a shopper could reasonably assume apply to the newly announced model year.

What should not be carried into MY27 yet

The current product page lists EPA range figures of 256 miles for Eco and 235 miles for Plus, but VinFast's Sept. 21 MY27 launch release does not state EPA range.¹⁵ Because the page still shows prior pricing and 2025 offer terms, those range figures should not be treated as newly verified MY27 figures from the checked sources.

The same source boundary applies to the current $4,100 Retail Bonus Cash offer: VinFast's product page labels it for 2025 VF 8 Eco and Plus models, while the MY27 release mentions 0% APR and leasing without stating that the $4,100 bonus carries over.¹⁵

VinFast also says the 2027 VF 8 adds Automatic Emergency Stop Assist, Rear Automatic Emergency Braking, Intersection Assist, Auto Lane Changing Assist and Evasive Steering Assist.¹ The checked launch and current consumer materials do not establish that every one of those functions is standard on both trims, active at delivery and subscription-free. VinFast's existing VF 8 page separately warns that some ADAS technologies may have delayed availability, arrive through a future software update or be subject to subscription.⁵

For now, the clean MY27 facts are the new starting prices, VinFast's announced financing headline and the presence of 2027 Eco inventory in at least the two checked launch markets. The legacy range and bonus-cash fields need a synchronized MY27 source before they belong in the same column.
