Enevate’s Successor Says It Acquired Assets During Liquidation. A Fidelity Fund Valued Its 1.3M-Share Series E Position at $12.

South Coast AQMD had flagged an Enevate EV project as a contract of concern, and Onyx records a May equipment auction; the exact liquidation mechanism and asset-transfer terms are still not established in the reviewed public record.

Enevate Technologies Corporation launched on Aug. 25 under Enevate founder Benjamin Park with a specific account of how it obtained predecessor-company assets: the new company says an affiliate of Quantum Valley Investments acquired assets from Enevate Corporation during the predecessor’s liquidation.1

Separate public records document several developments before that transition. Fidelity Blue Chip Growth K6 Fund reported the same 1,325,513 Enevate Series E shares at a fair value of $357,889 on Oct. 31, 2025, then at just $12 on Apr. 30, 2026.23

That $12 figure is not Enevate’s company valuation, sale price or a realized investor loss. It is the value one Fidelity fund reported for one private-security position at one reporting date. The filings classify the Enevate Series E holding as a Level 3 security; Fidelity defines Level 3 as using unobservable inputs, including the fund’s own assumptions based on the best information available.23

A public transition trail

The Fidelity filings are only one part of the record preceding the new company’s launch.

In December 2024, South Coast Air Quality Management District authorized work tied to an Enevate fast-charging battery-pack project for a medium-duty EV and a related Evolectric vehicle demonstration.4 By a June 2026 Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee report, both proposed contracts appeared under “Contracts of Concern.” The report said Enevate Corporation “may have been acquired and/or ceased operations” and said the related Evolectric project might be unable to proceed because of issues with the Enevate contract.5

That language is a contract administrator’s qualified status report, not a legal finding that Enevate was dissolved, insolvent or formally acquired.

A separate commercial record shows physical assets being marketed for sale. Onyx Asset Advisors lists an Enevate Corp. advanced-battery-technology auction in Irvine as closed on May 21. Onyx’s sale material described a “complete facility closure” and advertised pouch-cell manufacturing equipment, battery testers, laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.6 The auction material does not identify why the facility closed, the sale proceeds, the buyer or whether every Enevate asset was included.

Those records also do not establish the legal mechanism behind the liquidation described by Enevate Technologies. The successor’s launch release does not name the Quantum Valley affiliate, disclose a transaction price, identify liabilities assumed or describe creditor recoveries.1 Neither the South Coast AQMD report nor Onyx’s auction material fills in those transaction terms.56

The reviewed current source set contains no separate predecessor statement confirming that account. Enevate Technologies, led by Park, is the on-record source for the liquidation-and-acquisition description.1

What the Fidelity mark does — and does not — show

The two Fidelity reports provide an unusually clean comparison because the fund reported exactly 1,325,513 Series E shares on both dates.23 The reported value changed from $357,889 to $12 while the share count stayed the same.

The filings do not say that Enevate as a whole was worth $12. Fidelity’s filings identify the Enevate Series E position as a Level 3 security, and the April report also marks it as restricted.23 The April report explains that Level 3 valuations use unobservable inputs and can use alternative approaches when observable inputs are unavailable, including market, income and cost approaches.3

So the comparison is best read narrowly: one Fidelity fund sharply reduced its reported fair value for a specific Enevate Series E position before the successor company launched. The filings do not establish what Fidelity ultimately recovered, what other investors’ positions were worth, what Quantum Valley paid for predecessor assets or whether creditors received any particular recovery.

What Enevate Technologies says survived

Enevate Technologies says it is operating from the original Irvine laboratory with a focused core team that includes former Enevate Corporation employees. It describes the new business as focused on licensing, technology transfer, lithium-ion cell development and validation support.1

The successor also says its initial markets will include aviation, defense and specialty applications alongside continued demand from electric mobility.1 That is a broader market emphasis than an EV-only pitch, but it does not establish that Enevate has abandoned automotive applications.

The same distinction applies to the technology itself. Enevate Technologies is making current claims about ultra-fast charging, energy density and the breadth of the intellectual-property portfolio, but those are company assertions rather than independent proof of present commercial performance or ownership of every legacy asset.1

The public records reviewed here also do not establish that legacy OEM agreements, battery-manufacturer licenses or the South Coast AQMD project transferred to Enevate Technologies. South Coast AQMD’s June report instead left the Enevate-linked demonstration in a contract-of-concern status and said a follow-up report would be brought forward.5

The next concrete evidence to watch is therefore not another performance claim. Public transaction or assignment records identifying the acquiring affiliate and asset terms, a South Coast AQMD follow-up, or a named current automotive licensee would clarify how much of Enevate Corporation’s EV commercialization program actually carried into the successor.
