Methodology

How the official data is handled

The finder uses the official FuelEconomy.gov Web Services vehicle menus and vehicle records administered for the U.S. Department of Energy and Environmental Protection Agency.

At The Charger normalizes a small set of source fields for display but does not create its own range or efficiency rating.

Important assumptions

  • Model options can differ by drivetrain, wheel, battery, or test configuration; select the exact option available in the source.
  • EPA values are standardized estimates, not guaranteed real-world results.

Common questions

What to know about this lookup

Why are there several versions of the same model?

FuelEconomy.gov records configurations separately when specifications or test results differ. Choose the option that most closely matches the vehicle.

Does EPA range predict every trip?

No. Speed, temperature, elevation, wind, HVAC use, payload, tires, and battery condition can change real-world range.
