Lucid Offers $3,500 Off a New Lucid to Qualifying First-ZEV Customers Outside California — Through Sept. 30

Lucid is advertising a $3,500 Go Electric Credit for qualifying U.S. customers outside California who are acquiring their first zero-emission vehicle and a qualifying new Lucid. The company’s current legal terms require delivery by 11:59 p.m. ET on September 30, 2026.¹

The same offer sets a $1,750 credit for a qualifying pre-owned Lucid, and Lucid says demo vehicles count as pre-owned for this incentive.¹ Lucid’s broader finance terms separately say pre-owned leasing is not currently available, so the public offer should not be read as a promise that a used Lucid can presently be leased with the credit.¹

Lucid’s marketing card describes the offer as being for customers purchasing or leasing their first EV, but the legal terms use the more specific phrase first ZEV, or zero-emission vehicle.¹ The legal terms also make clear that the program is for U.S. customers excluding California and remains subject to qualifying customer and vehicle requirements.¹

California gets a separate first-ZEV program

California customers are outside the Go Electric Credit’s eligibility area, while Lucid’s current offers page separately lists the California MyFirstEV discount.¹ California’s August 7 launch announcement advertised $3,500 for eligible new first-ZEV transactions and $1,750 for eligible used transactions, with state funding matched dollar-for-dollar by participating automakers.²

The matching headline amounts do not make the two programs interchangeable. Lucid’s current terms explicitly say its Go Electric Credit cannot be combined with the California MyFirstEV discount.¹

That distinction matters for anyone comparing advertised Lucid discounts across states. A California shopper and an otherwise qualifying shopper elsewhere in the U.S. may see the same $3,500 headline figure, but the offers are separate and should not be added together as if they were one stack.¹²

Some Lucid incentives can stack — but not all of them

Lucid does show specific current transactions where a first-buyer credit is combined with another Lucid Credit. Its current MY2026 Air Touring and Grand Touring lease examples include a Lucid Credit plus either MyFirstEV or the Go Electric Credit, and current MY2027 Gravity Touring examples also show a Lucid Credit paired with one of the first-buyer discounts.¹

But those worked examples do not establish a universal maximum discount. Lucid’s financing language says select incentives may combine while warning that not all incentives are combinable.¹ Eligibility can also vary by model, model year, state and transaction type, so adding every visible Lucid promotion into one guaranteed savings number would overstate what the company’s terms establish.¹

The outside-California first-ZEV credit is the distinct current element to focus on rather than treating Lucid’s entire promotional package as new. CarsDirect’s August 12 EV-financing snapshot already listed MY2026 Gravity financing at 0% APR for up to 72 months, an up-to-$10,000 Lucid Credit, trade-in support and California’s MyFirstEV discount.³ That prior-month context means those surrounding offers should not be treated as newly introduced simply because they appear alongside the Go Electric Credit now.
